Further exploring the quote 'lack of unity' by trying out all the ideas that I could think of when thinking about this quote.
(Above) The idea behind these research drawings was to widen the features of the face only slightly so the portrait looks off.
(Above) Layering continous line drawings on top of one another gives me the impression of a complicated unification. The messy lines represents a lack in this unification.
(Above) Taking one section of the face and distorting it to represent the ego lacking unity and starting to loose control.
