'The Truth of The Ego Emerges'

Inspired by a quote from Introducing Lacan, 'The truth of the ego emerges precisely in madness where the world seems to dissolve and the difference between self and other is radically put into question'. I don't fully understand this theory about the ego and paranoia, but I am inspired by the idea of some sort of truth, or the ego itself, emerging.

I practiced different ways of designing one of the three patterns developed earlier. I plan to practice incorporating embroidery into portraits and then start experimenting with the other pattern designs.
